Truck and Scorpio collided fiercely in Lakhisarai. The collision was so severe that the Scorpio was flattened and every part of the truck was also broken. The vehicles also caught fire after the collision. Two people died in the accident.
The incident is of Pachna road bypass turn of Kabaiya police station area. Couple Kishore Manjhi and 25-year-old Dheeraj Kumar, resident of Digha of Amhara OP, were returning to their home after a wedding ceremony from Pachna Road late last night. A sand laden truck coming from Jamui side hit the Scorpio from the front near the bypass road. The truck driver had a narrow escape in the incident, while the Scorpio rider couple Kishore Manjhi died on the spot. At the same time, Dheeraj Kumar, who was with him, also died during treatment at Sadar Hospital.
Locals said that the driver of the sand-laden truck was in motion to force it onto the bridge. Only then Scorpio came in front of Pachna Road. There was a collision between a truck and a Scorpio. Both the vehicles were blown away. Somehow the people on board were pulled out with the help of the local people.
